ABOUT THE FILM

THE BACKSTORY

My trafficker started using the popular internet website Craigslist and other adult sex sites to post ads of me for sale. It boggles my mind that you can buy a person and a used fridge on the same website!

From a first glance, Jasmine is your typical suburban mom. She drives a minivan, bakes chocolate chip cookies, schedules play dates and runs errands with her kids in tow. No one would ever suspect that Jasmine is a survivor of trafficking – a survivor of nearly a decade in the commercial sex vortex, struggling with addiction and loss.

Jasmine could have kept her past to herself. Instead she looks at it as an experience that can heal other women in need of help. She knows that no little girl dreams of becoming a prostitute or an addict. Something goes wrong along the way. This is the story of her journey.
